The Cwm Uchaf Bunkhouse is situated in the village of Crai within the Brecon Beacons National Park, with the surrounding area holding some of the most breathtaking scenery anywhere in the UK. The nearest village is Sennybridge which has a limited but adequate selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The Brecon Beacons offer one of the widest range of activities anywhere in Wales. Days out on the Beacons can range from a gentle hill walk, graceful paragliding to the adrenalin of downhill mountain biking.The area is also very popular with cavers, anglers and canoeists. Apart from the natural charms of the Beacons the area offers one of the best all round climbing walls at the Llangorse rope centre.

The Bunkhouse is family run, an integral part of the old farmhouse, situated at Crai on the A4067 Swansea to Brecon road, three miles south of Defynnog. There are ten bunk beds in the sleeping area with a separate dining room kitchen area. The accommodation is self catering and is fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge, TV, and a whole range of cooking implements, crockery and cutlery. The bunkhouse is centrally heated and has a pay phone installed with callls charged at low rates. Extra toilets, and hot showers are located in the house. Extra accommodation of two twin bedroom and one double bedroom. A cot and high chair can be supplied on request.

Please note that if you are staying in the bunkhouse you will need to bring sleeping bags, We only actually supply bunks, mattresses and a warm welcome!
